YEOMANSTOWN Stud has made significant cuts to its stallion fees for 2021, in acknowledgement of this year’s volatile market conditions.

Gay and David O’Callaghan’s Naas, Co Kildare, farm issued a statement which said: “2020 was another very successful year for Yeomanstown stallions and we are looking forward to the upcoming season. However, in light of the tough trading conditions faced by many at this year’s bloodstock sales, we have decided to drop all our fees.”

Dark Angel’s fee has been lowered from €85,000 to €60,000. New recruit Invincible Army comes down to €7,500 from €10,000. El Kabeir has been trimmed to €6,000 from €8,000, while the popular Camacho is now just €5,000 from €10,000.

Group 1 winners Battaash and Raging Bull kept Dark Angel in the news this year and he is fourth in the overall European sires’ list.

Invincible Army enjoyed a busy first year at stud in 2020, covering 143 mares – 60 of which are stakes performers or producers.

El Kabeir (by Scat Daddy) will have his first two-year-old runners in 2021. Camacho continues to produce quality winners, his winning two-year-olds this year including Aunty Bridy and With Thanks.
