Sioux Nation and Beckford are expected to renew rivalry in next Saturday's Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.
They were separated by just half a length when first and second respectively in the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh in August and Beckford has since finished a remote second in the Vincent O'Brien National Stakes at the same venue.
Aidan O'Brien, trainer of Sioux Nation, has won the Group 1 Middle Park on four previous occasions and, as well as the Phoenix Stakes winner, he could also call on Declarationofpeace, Fleet Review and U S Navy Flag.
The Jessica Harrington-trained Brother Bear and Romanised from Ken Condon's yard are other potential challengers from Ireland.
Prix Morny hero Unfortunately is also among the 15 confirmations and Jim Crowley is booked to ride the Society Rock colt, who was recently purchased by Cheveley Park Stud.
Karl Burke's juvenile caused a minor upset when landing the Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte in July, but proved that was no fluke when seeing off stablemate Havana Grey at Deauville last month.
Andrew Balding has supplemented Danzan, who was runner-up in a valuable sales race at Doncaster recently.
Richard Spencer's Coventry Stakes hero Rajasinghe and Richard Fahey's Gimcrack scorer Sands Of Mali add further strength in depth.
Cardsharp (Mark Johnston), Frozen Angel (Tom Dascombe), Hey Jonesy (Kevin Ryan) and Never Back Down (Hugo Palmer) are the other hopefuls.
Gordon Elliott is hopeful that the drop in trip back to six furlongs will suit Beckford.
He said: "Beckford has come out of the National Stakes well and the plan is to run him in the Middle Park. He seems in good form, but he never does anything too fancy at home. He just does what he has to do. I think the drop back to six (furlongs) will suit him."
CHEVELEY PARK STAKES
Leading ante-post 1000 Guineas contenders Clemmie and Happily are in contention for the Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes on the same Saturday card.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained pair are among three entries, alongside Butterscotch, who could represent Ballydoyle in the six-furlong Group 1 contest on the Rowley Mile, which the powerhouse yard won 12 months ago with Brave Anna.
Heading the home contenders is the Clive Cox-trained Heartache, who added to her Queen Mary Stakes success at Royal Ascot when bouncing back from a defeat in France with victory in the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster.
The Mark Johnston-trained Threading could bid to make it three from three, having followed up her impressive maiden success at Goodwood with a win in the Lowther Stakes at York.
French interest is provided by the Matthieu Palussiere-trained Different League, who captured the Albany Stakes on her penultimate start.
The only supplementary entry received for the race was Eirene, from the yard of Dean Ivory.
Completing the list are Chica La Habana (Robert Cowell), Crossing The Line (Andrew Balding), Darkanna (Richard Fahey), Madeline (Roger Varian), Now You're Talking (Joseph O'Brien), Special Purpose (William Haggas), Treasuring (Ger Lyons), Betty F and Take Me With You (both from the yard of Jeremy Noseda).
FRANKEL FOLLOWER
Nelson could attempt to follow in his famous father's hoofprints on Saturday after being left in the entries for the Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes.
The two-year-old colt, whose sire Frankel won the mile Group 2 contest when it was run at Ascot in 2010, is one of six possibles for trainer Aidan O'Brien.
Futurity Stakes winner Rostropovich, Berkeley Square, Coat Of Arms, Mendelssohn and Threeandfourpence complete the sextet of entries for the Ballydoyle handler.
Impressive first-time-out winner Elarqam is one of three contenders for trainer Mark Johnston, alongside Dee Ex Bee and Mildenberger.
The John Gosden-trained Roaring Lion is in contention to make it three wins from as many starts, while Masar, from the yard of Charlie Appleby, was an impressive winner of the Solario Stakes.
Completing the list of confirmations is Herculean (Roger Charlton), Ibn Al Emarat (David Simcock), Midnight Wilde (John Ryan) and Petrus (Brian Meehan).
