NEXT Thursday marks the first of two major race National Hunt race sponsorships by Goffs who are launching their 2018 Land Rover Sale campaign.

The €100,000 Goffs Thyestes Chase at Gowran Park is the first leg of the sales company’s double-header, which will be completed by the first running of the €75,000 Grade 2 Goffs Future Stars Bumper at the Dublin Racing Festival in Leopardstown on Saturday, February 3rd.

The Thyestes card also includes the Grade 2 John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle.

Land Rover Sale graduate Hollowgraphic is on course for the Goffs-sponsored bumper on the opening day of the inaugural Dublin Racing Festival.

The five-year-old son of Beat Hollow finished a neck second on his debut in the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at Punchestown last year and followed this in December with a 13-length bumper win at the same track.

Willie Mullins said: “Hollowgraphic was a huge, big unfurnished horse. He improved hugely over the summer and then came out and was very impressive in Punchestown before Christmas. Now we go for the Dublin Racing Festival and hopefully onto Cheltenham for the Champion Bumper.”

Henry Beeby, chief executive of Goffs, said: “This exciting time of year for jumps racing also marks the start of our search for the store horses that will make headlines at the Land Rover Sale in June.

“The Thyestes Chase and Dublin Racing Festival sponsorships are an ideal fit for Goffs and further reaffirm our ongoing commitment to National Hunt in Ireland that also includes the €100,000 Land Rover Bumper and a host of point-to-points throughout the country.”
