GORESBRIDGE has catalogued 66 lots for its Mixed Thoroughbred Sale on Friday, July 22nd, with selling commencing at 1pm. The sale comprises horses of all ages and among the potential highlights are a group of well-covered broodmares.

The first mares in foal to Slade Power were recently sold at the July Sale in Newmarket, making up to 115,000gns and averaging more than 55,000gns for the seven sold. Windgates Farm will offer the first mare in foal to the dual Group 1 winning sprinter to be sold in Ireland when they send Sahaayef through the ring.

The unraced daughter of Mawatheeq is a half-sister to three stakes performers and her listed-winning dam is a half-sister to the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Sakhee. Windgates also consign two mares in foal to Shooting To Win who retired to stud this year. He won the Group 1 Beck Caulfield Guineas.

The yearling section contains some well-related fillies, with Ballinaroone Stud offering a Sholokov daughter of a half-sister to Court Leader, and a Dubai Destination filly, the first foal of a half-sister to Georges Girl. Cois Coille Stud’s two-year-old Tobougg half-sister to three winners is from the immediate family of National Hunt stars Wither Or Which, Alexander Banquet and the Grand National winner Silver Birch.

A couple of older horses with appeal are Whitehall Stud’s Fruits Of Love filly out of a half-sister to the Grade 1 hurdle winner Shadow Leader, and Kilmac Stud’s three-year-old Arakan gelding who is a half-brother to multiple winner Raheenwood and out of a winning Roselier mare. He is from the family of Troytown Chase winner Riverside City and very smart racemare Double Symphony.
