THE Irish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (ITBA) will play host to the International Thoroughbred Breeders’ Federation (ITBF) Congress from September 10th to 15th.

Delegates from 35 countries will be in Ireland as the ITBA currently holds the chair.

The programme begins in the K Club on Thursday, September 10th with a veterinary forum of expert panellists from around the globe. This will be open to all and is worth 4½ CVE points for veterinary surgeons and nurses. Following the forum the official opening ceremony will take place.

The International Congress meeting will take place on Friday morning and will be attended by all visiting delegates.

One of the highlights of the Congress is an international symposium which will be streamed live.

Titled ‘Internationalization and Commercialisation of Racing’ it will be held at Goffs.

World class

A world-class panel has been secured to discuss a wide range of topics and it will be chaired by The Irish Field’s editor Leo Powell.

Delegates will enjoy racing at Leopardstown and the Curragh for Irish Champions Weekend and then continue their stay with an additional two days when they will visit a host of industry and tourist venues.

Full details of the Congress will be published in a four-page supplement in next week’s The Irish Field.
