CRACKERDANCER is a great advertisement for patience and hopefully the now seven-year-old can get some blacktype before she eventually takes her place at stud. The daughter of Robin Des Champs, sire of Vautour, Quevega, Un Temps Pour Tout, Sire De Champs and more, is a half-sister to the Grade 2 winning chaser Saludos who was also placed at Grade 1 level over hurdles ad fences.

That son of Bob Back was the best of the four racecourse winners to date from Katie’s Cracker, a daughter of Rambo Dancer (by Northern Dancer) who won four times on the flat. She is also dam of the Shantou mare Espresso Lady who was placed in a listed hurdle race and is now at stud with young stock by Fame And Glory and Scorpion.

Crackerdancer was bred by Emma Harrington (now Galway) and she was originally trained by her mother Jessica. This is a family that the Commonstown Stud based trainer is very familiar with, Back in the third generation there is one horse that stands head and shoulders above the rest, Space Trucker. He raced in the colours of Eileen Queally and was one of the winners that have helped to make Jessica Harrington the most successful lady at the Cheltenham Festival.

He won the Grand Annual Chase there but was also successful in the Grade 2 Fighting Fifth Hurdle and the Grade 3 Dan Moore Chase, while being placed in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham and the BMW Chase at Punchestown.

Burn And Turn is another well-known runner from this female line and he placed second in the Galway Plate and won at Grade 3 level over fences.
