  • Queen Blossom sprang a 16/1 surprise when beating classic-placed stakes winner Devonshire in the Group 3 Lodge Park Stud European Breeders Fund Park Express Stakes over a mile at the Curragh. A three-year-old daughter of the late Jeremy (by Danehill Dancer), the Patrick Prendergast trainee was running for just the third time. She was bred by the Irish National Stud and her pattern-placed dam Mark Of An Angel (by Mark Of Esteem) is a grand-daughter of the South African dual Group 3 scorer Grey Angel (by Kenmare).

  • Garlingari is owned, trained and bred by Corine Barande-Barbe and the gelded five-year-old won the Group 3 Prix Exbury over 10 furlongs at Saint-Cloud. It is a third blacktype success for the son of Linngari (by Indian Ridge), a dual Group 1 winner who spent two years at Haras de Bonneval, five at Haras du Petit Tellier, and then moved to Summerhill Stud in South Africa last year. A half-brother to a winner, Garlingari is out of the pattern-placed Garlinote (by Poliglote), a full-sister to the Group 1 Prix de Diane (French Oaks) and Group 1 Prix Vermeille heroine Carling (by Garde Royale). That classic star's blacktype progeny include the Japanese pattern scorers Lohengrin (by Singspiel) and Extra End (by Deep Impact).

  • La Cressonniere is now a triple stakes winner following her victory in the Listed Prix La Camargo over a mile at Saint-Cloud. The Jean-Claude Rouget-trained daughter of Haras de la Cauviniere ace Le Havre (by Noverre) looks like a leading French classic contender for 2016. She was bred by Franklin Finance S.A., her dam Absolute Lady (by Galileo) is a full-sister to the Group 2-placed stakes winner Paris Winds, and her grandam is the Group 3 Nell Gwyn Stakes scorer Lil's Jessy (by Kris).

  • Dicton won the Listed Prix Omnium II over a mile at Saint-Cloud, a first blacktype success for the son of Ballylinch Stud stallion Lawman (by Invincible Spirit). Bred by the Wertheimer brothers and trained in Italy by Gianluca Bietolini, the three-year-old is out of the listed scorer Saying (by Giant's Causeway). His grandam Pas De Reponse (by Danzig) is a Group 1-winning half-sister to the classic star and leading French sire Green Tune (by Green Dancer).
