Rogue Angel won the Grade A BoyleSports Irish Grand National Chase over three miles, five furlongs at Fairyhouse, adding to his success in the Grade A Kerry National last September. The Mouse Morris-trained eight-year-old is a son of Glenview Stud's multiple champion sire Presenting (by Mtoto), he was bred by Ann Lalor, and he is a graduate of both the foals section of the Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale (€30,000) and, as a three-year-old, of the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale (€46,000). A half-brother to recent Wexford bumper scorer Fire In His Eyes (by Stowaway), he is out of Carrigeen Kohleria (by Luso), a full-sister to Grade B chase winner Caduceus and half-sister to the Grade 1 scorer Carrigeen Victor (by Old Vic) and and to blacktype winner Carrigeen Kalmia (by Norwich).
Sutton Place made it two from three over hurdles with victory in the Grade 2 Rathbarry & Glenview Studs Novice Hurdle over two miles at Fairyhouse, a second blacktype success for the son of Beeches Stud stallion Mahler (by Galileo). Bred by James Leahy and trained by Gordon Elliott, the five-year-old is out of Glebe Beauty (by Good Thyne), a half-sister to the graded winners Lord Who (by Mister Lord) and Measureofmydreams (by Shantou). Value At Risk won the Grade 2 Keelings Irish Strawberry Hurdle over two and a half miles at Fairyhouse, a first blacktype success for the Dan Skelton-trained seven-year-old. Owned and bred by Marc Huglin, the son of Overbury Stud stallion Kayf Tara (by Sadler's Wells) is a half-brother to the Grade 2-winning hurdler Battlecry (by Accordion). Their dam, Miss Orchestra (by Orchestra), won the Grade 3 Midlands Grand National and is a half-sister to the multiple blacktype-winning chaser Hey Big Spender (by Rudimentary).
Slowmotion made it two from three over jumps with victory in the Grade 2 REA Grimes Property Consultants Juvenile Hurdle over two miles at Fairyhouse. A second crop daughter of new Beeches Stud stallion Soldier Of Fortune (by Galileo), the Aidan O'Brien-trained four-year-old was bred in France by Adrian Von Gunten. She is the first foal out of Second Emotion (by Medaaly), a winning half-sister to the blacktype-placed prolific jumps scorer Helium (by Dream Well). This is a branch of the family of Group 1 winner and leading sire Dark Angel (by Acclamation).
Emily Gray won the Grade 3 John & Chich Fowler Memorial European Breeders Fund Mares Chase over two and a half miles at Fairyhouse, a third blacktype win over fences for the Kim Bailey-trained eight-year-old. Bred by Robert McCarthy, the daughter of Beeches Stud stallion Flemensfirth (by Alleged) is a full-sister to the ill-fated Grade 3-placed gelding Pride Ofthe Parish. Her dam Rose Island (by Jupiter Island) is a grand-daughter of the Stayers' Hurdle (now World Hurdle) heroine Rose Ravine (by Deep Run).

Kylemore Lough extended his winning run to five with victory in the Grade 1 Ryanair Gold Cup Novice Chase over two and a half miles at Fairyhouse. The Kerry Lee-trained seven-year-old, a son of Revoque (by Fairy King), was bred by his part-owner Mick McMahon. His unraced dam One Of The Last (by Supreme Leader) comes from the family of the graded winners Calling Brave (by Bob Back) and Ottowa (by Roselier).
Jer's Girl gave her future paddocks value a tremendous boost when winning the Grade 1 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Mares Novice Hurdle Championship Final over two and a half miles at Fairyhouse. The Gavin Cromwell-trained four-year-old, who was bred by Eugene Bourke, is a daughter of late Garryrichard Stud stallion Jeremy (by Danehill Dancer). Her siblings include the prolific flat scorer Rosewin (by Hawkeye), her dam African Scene (by Scenic) is a half-sister to several multiple winners, there is a Royal Ascot winner in the family, and I reviewed Jer's Girl's pedigree in detail in the 12th December 2015 edition of The Irish Field.
Acapella Bourgeois won the Grade 2 Agnelli Motor Park Novice Hurdle over two and a half miles at Fairyhouse, a second wn at that level for the Sandra Hughes-trained son of Haras d'Enki stallion Network (by Monsun). Bred in France by Jean-Paul Bannier and Michele Bannier, the six-year-old is out of Jasmine (by Valanjou), an AQPS mare who is related to a few flat winners in France.
Fine Rightly justified odds-on to take the Grade 3 Imperial Call Chase over three miles at Cork. Patricia Duffin's homebred eight-year-old is trained by Stuart Crawford and he is a son of Shade Oak Stud stallion Alflora (by Niniski). He is a half-brother to the Grade 2-placed chase-winning mare Aibrean (by Winged Love), his bumper-winning dam Bealtaine (by Zaffaran) is a full-brother to Another Rum, and they comes from the family of top chaser Katabatic (by Strong Gale). Solita boosted her future paddocks value with victory in the Grade B BoyleSports Novice Handicap Chase over two miles, one furlong at Fairyhouse. Robert Hennelly's homebred seven-year-old is trained by Paul Nolan, she is a daughter of late Ballylinch Stud ace King's Theatre (by Sadler's Wells), and her dam Wind Over Water (by Erins Isle) is a half-sister to the multiple graded-placed mare Savitha (by King's Theatre).
Last Goodbye made it three from three over obstacles with victory in the Grade C Easter Handicap Hurdle over two miles, three furlongs at Cork. The Liz Doyle-trained five-year-old was bred by Ian Williams, he is an €8,000 graduate of the foals section of the Goffs December NH Sale, and he is a son of Knockhouse Stud stallion Millenary (by Rainbow Quest). His string of winning siblings include the Grade 2 hurdles scorer and Grade 3 chase winner Sher Beau (by Beau Sher) and his dam, Welsh Ana (by Welsh Term), is out of a half-sister to the Grade 2 Desert Orchid Chase winner Givus A Buck (by Buckskin).
