TREVOR and Libby Harris own Lordship Stud in Newmarket, and that entity is listed as the owner and breeder of the Group 1 Prix de Royallieu winner Loving Dream. Also winner of the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot, the Gosden-trained three-year-old is the first Group 1 winner for her sire, Gleneagles (Galileo).

It was simply a matter of time before that Group 1 success emerged, as up to Saturday Gleneagles had sired seven Group 2 winners and a further nine stakes winners. This big race win for Loving Dream could not have been more timely, given that the filly’s yearling half-brother will be offered for sale this week in Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Sale. He is consigned as Lot 664 from New England Stud.

In fact, if you go to that catalogue page you will find two important updates. In addition to the Group 1 success for Loving Dream, their dam Kissable (Danehill Dancer) is now responsible for a fifth winner, with her fifth foal, and that is Five Stars (Sea The Stars). Given away for 48,000gns last year, she is unbeaten in two starts for Marcus Graff and trainer Mark Johnston and is surely odds-on to add further blacktype to the family.

Loving Dream is not the first Group/Grade 1 performer out of Kissable. Her half-sister Amandine (Shamardal) was a stakes winner at Santa Anita and ran third in the Grade 1 American Oaks.

Their dam raced in Ireland for Lady O’Reilly and was third in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. Kissable then sold to Three Chimneys Racing and won a stakes race at Saratoga before being sent to Newmarket where she was purchased for 180,000gns by Kern Lillingston.

Kitty O’Shea

Kissable has a colt foal this year by Sea The Stars (Cape Cross). She is the best of the six winners, all her foals, from the unbeaten stakes winner Kitty O’Shea (Sadler’s Wells). She, in turn, was an own-sister to Brian Boru (Sadler’s Wells), a Group 1 winner at two and three, and a half-sister to a pair of Group 2 winners in Sea Moon (Beat Hollow) and Moon Search (Rainbow Quest).

Two other full-sisters to Kitty O’Shea are worthy of highlighting. The unraced Soviet Moon (Sadler’s Wells) bred the 2010 Derby and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Workforce (King’s Best), while the group-placed Kushnarenkovo (Sadler’s Wells) is the grandam of the triple Group 1 winner Best Solution (Kodiac).
