GOFFS UK hold their Premier Yearling Sale at the end of August and this sale has set new records in each of the last three years.
The sale will be held at the Goffs UK sales complex at Doncaster on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 28th and 29th. As usual, there are many entries from Ireland among the 501 candidates, and all yearlings sold at this auction and at the Silver Sale will be eligible for the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Stakes, with a prize fund of £300,000 and scheduled to be run at York in mid-August 2019.
On the third day, Thursday, August 30th, Goffs UK will hold their Silver Yearling Sale, first staged in 2014, which has another 174 quality entries.
Doncaster is enjoying another very successful year in 2018, with many group winners including Group 1 sprinter Harry Angel, the classic filly Laurens and last weekend’s Phoenix Stakes hero Advertise.
Goffs UK are selling the yearlings in alphabetical order of their dams and they again expect to attract all the top buyers to the Premier Sale, which ends a few days before the start of the Keeneland September Sale.
The star-studded catalogue contains yearlings by many of the leading sires, among them Acclamation, Dark Angel, Exceed And Excel, Holy Roman Emperor, Iffraaj, Kodiac, Kyllachy, Lawman, Oasis Dream, Pivotal, Sea The Stars, Showcasing, Society Rock and Zoffany.
