RECORD results at last week’s Goffs Land Rover Sale have set things up nicely for next week’s Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale.

Viewing begins this weekend of the 400 stores in the catalogue, ahead of two days of selling on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Derby Sale produced eight Cheltenham Festival winners in 2021, including Grade 1 victors Honeysuckle, Appreciate It, Monkfish, Shishkin and Black Tears. Three of those graduates also won Grade 1s at the Dublin Racing Festival, along with Energumene.

This year’s catalogue features 14 siblings to Grade 1 winners and all horses catalogued for the Derby Sale are eligible for the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper 2022.
