THE graduates of the seven previous Goresbridge Breeze-Up Sales for have certainly made an impact and have fetched prices up to €145,000.
They include many winners, among them Music Show and Barefoot Lady, both winners of the Group 3 Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket. Music Show was bought for only €16,000 and also scored in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes and the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes, besides running third in the Irish 1000 Guineas. Barefoot Lady, who cost €30,000, was also third in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes, while Dutch Masterpiece was a top sprinter, Willyconker won the Grade 1 Frank E Kilroe Mile Stakes at Santa Anita and Fiesolana scored in the Group 1 Matron Stakes and was sold for 960,000gns.
The auction will be held at the Sales Complex at Goresbridge in Co Kilkenny at 10.30am on Friday, May 22nd, after breezing at the nearby Gowran Park racecourse at 1.30pm on the Thursday afternoon.
