JUDDMONTE Farms’ impressive draft dominated trade on Wednesday and the standout in their consignment was the unraced three-year-old Makfi filly Replete. A daughter of the champion Banks Hill and a half-sister to the Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet winner Romantica, she is a granddaughter of the influential Hasili.

Amanda Skiffington, standing high up in the bidders’ area, was not going to be denied for Replete and it would be no surprise to see her purchase visit Galileo. She cost 775,000gns.

Seven of the Juddmonte consignment sold for six-figure sums. A further star of the draft was yet another unraced three-year-old filly, this time it was Dansili’s daughter Megaron.

An own-sister to a stakes winner and a half-sister to two more, she is a granddaughter of the Group 1 Prix du Moulin winner All At Sea. Rabbah Bloodstock gave 200,000gns for her.

Luke Lillingston was acting for Merriebelle Irish Farm when paying 420,000gns for Light Up Our World, a listed winner this year from the Richard Hannon yard.

A three-year-old daughter of Zoffany and from a female line making headlines at the sales in recent times, Light Up Our World may try her hand at racing in the USA before retiring to her owner’s stud in Ireland.

Famed for improving fillies, John Oxx paid 280,000gns on behalf of an Irish client for the recent Listed Trigo Stakes winner Flying Fairies and the three-year-old daughter of Holy Roman Emperor will stay in training next year. The filly’s career to date has been handled by Joe Murphy.

Other notable sales on Wednesday included the French stakes winner Fine Blend (by Sakhee’s Secret) to David Redvers for 180,000gns, an unraced Oasis Dream three-year-old half-sister to Zambezi Sun for 155,000gns, a Dansili daughter if the Group 1 runner-up Helleborine for the same price, and an Oasis Dream relation to Flintshire for 150,000gns.
