SIX years ago Goffs UK Bloodstock Sales delayed their former October Sale by two weeks and they have now renamed it the Autumn Sale, still combining the yearlings and the older horses in one catalogue.
The total entry of 405 lots this November is 33 more than in 2016 and includes a considerable number of horses in training from Godolphin and Shadwell on the second day, though the 115 yearlings on the first day are 25 less than last year.
The auction will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, 7th and 8th November, starting at 12 noon on the first day and 10am on the second.
This yearling sale was given a boost by the success of Belle Royale in the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes at Hollywood Park, following Group 1 wins for top sprinters Borderlescott and Tangerine Trees, while Thomas Hobson, Overturn and Dim Sum are other high-earning graduates.
The sires of the yearlings include such well-known stallions as Bated Breath, Dawn Approach, Equiano, Helmet, Kodiac, Monsieur Bond, Nayef, Paco Boy, Poet’s Voice, Ruler Of The World and Zebedee.
