AN unraced two-year-old daughter of Dubawi headed the horses in training section of the Wildenstein Stables dispersal when selling to the American outfit White Birch Farm for €600,000.

The 41 horses in training contained many fillies boasting impressive pedigrees and none more so than the unraced two-year-old Pavini, who was knocked down to the American outfit White Birch Farm for €600,000.

The daughter of Dubawi is out of a Group 2-winning half-sister to the brilliant Arc de Triomphe winner Peintre Celebre.

UNDERBIDDERS

White Birch Farm, whose party included Joseph Allen and had to settle for the role of underbidders on the €1.4m Dubawi yearling, also forked out €300,000 for the unraced Dansili juvenile Achibueno. This colt, who had been under the care of John Oxx, is a half-brother to the French Listed winner and Group 1-placed miler Akatea.

Meanwhile, American agent Alan Quartucci spent €270,000 on Achibueno’s three-year-old half-sister Asterina. She is a winner in France this year and has already run with credit at Group 3 level.

JOHN OXX

John Oxx will take charge of the unraced Bengala after this daughter of Pivotal and the Prix de Diane heroine Bright Sky was knocked down to Patrick Lawley-Wakelin at €300,000.

The last-named was acting on behalf of Robert Evans and this regally bred two-year-old was bought as a potential future mate for American-based sire Tonalist.

The New York and Kentucky-based North Shore Bloodstock struck for several members of the dispersal. Their spending was headed by the €150,000 acquisition of the winning two-year-old Parauari, who got off the mark on his second outing at Vichy in early August.

North Shore also spent €140,000 on the unraced Vila Nova. This Silver Frost filly is out of the superb producer Verveine and she has the Group 1 winners Volga and Vallee Enchantee amongst her siblings.

Elsewhere, Ballylinch Stud went to €140,000 for another unraced filly in Special Gal. The daughter of Galileo is out of the Group 3-placed Special Delivery and comes from a family that has produced the outstanding American turf runner Steinlen and the Irish Derby winner Zagreb.
