Michael Ross has studied the catalogue for the new DBS Silver Yearling Sales

The two-day Premier Yearling Sales will be followed this year by a one-day Silver Yearling Sales.

Based on the highly successful relationship of the Goffs Orby and Sportsman’s Sales, the Silver Yearling Sales is designed to give buyers access to yearlings at every level of the market over three consecutive days at Doncaster.

Every horse sold under the hammer will be eligible for the 2015 DBS Premier Yearling Stakes at York worth £300,000 and the catalogue will offer 137 yearlings, over half of which are colts.

The sale features the progeny of 56 sires including Acclamation, Approve, Bahamian Bounty, Champs Elysees, Dutch Art, Equiano, Fast Company, Holy Roman Emperor, Kheleyf, Kodiac, Lawman, Paco Boy, Showcasing as well as young sires Dick Turpin, Frozen Power, Lilbourne Lad, and Wootton Bassett, whose oldest progeny are yearlings.
