GOFFS UK, formerly Doncaster Bloodstock Sales, are holding their second Aintree Sale of horses-in-training on Aintree racecourse during the Grand National meeting next week.
They expect to offer at least one Grand National candidate, as well as a good selection of recent winners with Cheltenham winner Labaik the star attraction.
The auction will be held in the winners’ enclosure on Thursday, April 6th, with entries available for viewing on the Aintree racecourse from 1pm on the Wednesday and all day on Thursday, so that buyers can attend that afternoon’s racing, including the Grade 2 Goffs UK Mares Bumper, before selling begins at about 6pm. Last year there were six horses which sold for six figure prices, with a top of £335,000 for Samcro. The entries include many of this season’s leading NH sires, among them Flemensfirth, Presenting, Yeats, Court Cave, Mahler, Westerner, Al Namix, etc. Supplementary entries were still being taken when this preview went to press and lot numbers were not yet available. Videos of some of the entries’ latest races can be found on the Goffs UK website.
