Vacancy on RDS equestrian committee

THERE is a single vacancy on the Equestrian Committee of the Royal Dublin Society and nominations close at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 5th. The committee is chaired by Jane Darragh and the other members currently are Marian Condren, Paula Cullen, John Crowley, Jack Doyle, Tiernan Gill, Kate Horgan, Gillian Kyle, Angus McDonnell, Comdt John Ledingham, Mary C Redmond and Lt Col Brian MacSweeney. A list of candidates, duly nominated, will be available on October 7th and voting papers will then be distributed to members. The results will be declared on December 1st.

Equine business workshops

A SERIES of free workshops for equine businesses in Northern Ireland that will provide information to drive business forward is being hosted at CAFRE. The series is suitable for all equine related businesses from riding schools and tack shops to self employed instructors, producers and farriers.

The series includes three workshops:

  • Unlocking your business potential – October 11th
  • Marketing your “Unique Selling Point” – November 1st
  • Keeping on the right side of the law – January 10th 2017

    • Each session will take place from 7.30pm until 9.30pm at Greenmount Campus, Co Antrim. Registration for each event closes seven days prior to the event. There is no fee for this course.
