BLACKHILL Eventing has teamed up with the Irish Red Cross to organise an equestrian flood relief charity training clinic and raffle to aid flood victims.
It’s hoped that as many people as possible will attend or support the event and charity raffle in any way they can.
With the kind permission from Louise Halford, Copper Beech Stud will be hosting a charity training clinic on Sunday, February 7th, starting at 9am. The morning sessions will be hosted by Whitstone Bedding-sponsored three-star international event rider Lindsay Graham. Lindsay has a wealth of experience producing young horses up through the grades and along with a host of other good results, she won the 2015 Eventing Ireland mare championships aboard Graf Maypole.
The afternoon sessions will feature international show jumper Declan Egan, who rides for the well known Bourns Sports Horses in Co Galway. Declan is a consummate producer of young horses for showjumping and has enjoyed great success in the Irish Horse Board age classes, as well as regularly competing at Grand Prix level. He has also represented Ireland at the world young horse championships in Lanaken.
Lessons
Lessons will be approx 90 minutes each, for groups of four people. Tea and refreshments will be available on the day. Lessons will be €40 per person and the entire proceeds go to the Irish Red Cross.
“Essentially you are making a great donation to Irish people in dire need and getting an excellent training opportunity in return for your kindness,” said Christa Dillon of Blackhill Eventing.
As well as the clinic, a charity raffle will be held with tickets priced just €5. There are great prizes on offer and it’s all for a great cause.
