IRELAND's show jumping team manager Robert Splaine announced the squad of riders today that will represent Ireland at St. Gallen and from which he will select the four-strong team for the important Furusiyya Nations’ Cup at the Swiss venue on Friday, June 6th.

They are the same riders who claimed third place for Ireland at last week’s team Nations Cup competition at La Baule, France.

Ireland’s five-man squad at St. Gallen will be: Bertram Allen - who scored a hat-trick of wins at La Baule - Shane Breen, Greg Broderick, Darragh Kenny and Cian O’Connor.

St. Gallen is the third of Ireland’s point-scoring competitions in the top league of world show jumping, and will be followed by the Aga Khan Cup at Dublin Horse Show in August. The first Nations’ Cup in the series for Ireland was Lummen in Belgium earlier this month.

Currently, Ireland holds fifth position in the first division of the Furusiyya league, which comprises 10 nations.
