Four combinations will be selected from the squad of five to jump in the first European Nations’ Cup of the FEI Furusiyya super league series on Friday, May 2nd.

Though the five-star competition at Lummen will attract some of the world’s top combinations, Splaine has elected not to count the show as one of Ireland’s point-scoring competitions in the series.

Under the new rules introduced in 2013, the world’s top show jumping nations may compete in eight venues but will only be able to gain points in four.

For Ireland these will be La Baule (May 15th-18th), Rotterdam (June 18th-22nd), Hickstead (July 31st-August 3rd) and Dublin Horse Show (August 6th-10th).

The Lummen squad consists of Bertram Allen with Molly Malone, Dermott Lennon with Loughview Lou Lou (ISH), Mark McAuley with Isco de Miranda, Thomas Ryan with Caribo and Billy Twomey with Diaghilev.
