In last Sunday’s 1.45m jump-off, Dave Quigley steered Ulot to finish third with a double clear in 37.86 seconds. The €24,000 class was won by Mexico’s Santiago Lambre (Wasabi) in 36.54, while Belgium’s Constant van Paesschen (Diamanthina Van’t Ruytershof) was second in 36.67.

A couple of days earlier, Quigley and the same 13-year-old gelding were fourth in a 1.45m speed class with a clear in 66.93. Brazil’s Marlon Zanotelli won in 64.08.

Also in the gold tour classes, Anthony Condon partnered Value T to finish eighth in a 1.35m speed and Balzac to 10th place in a 1.30m speed.

In the silver tour classes, Gavin Harley recorded a third placing on Mc Veigh in a 1.30m speed, going down by just under five seconds to French rider Olivier Robert (Palery De Thumes).

YOUNG HORSES

Meanwhile, in the young horse classes, Condon steered Zira II (by Zurich) to win the final five-year-old class, a 1.20m speed, with a clear in 73.23. Belgium’s van Paesschen was second on Verdi Treize in 73.63. Condon was also eight on Arla and Harley was ninth on Vendetta Treize.

In the previous day’s round, Condon and Zira II had won, while the rider confirmed his dominance when second on Arla. Harley was 10th on Vendetta Treize. Condon and Zira II had finished equal third in the first round with four faults.

The rider also featured in the final six-year-old class, steering D Hollinwoods Rusty Ryan to finish seventh with a clear in 82.87. He was also 10th on Valavivendi with two time faults. Lithuania’s Andrius Petrovas won on Davino O in 63.67.

In the previous day’s 1.30m two-phase, Condon was sixth and 10th on D Hollinwoods Rusty Ryan and Valavivendi respectively with a clear in 34.00 and four faults in 32.73. Harley was eighth on Cabriella Van De Kapel with a clear in 40.77. Mexican Santiago Lambre (Dalvinos) won in 28.15.

Harley (Cabriella Van De Kapel) and Condon (Valavivendi) shared the spoils with nine others in the opening six-year-old class with clear rounds.
