ROBERT Fagan and the Fagan family have been “bowled over” by the wave of positivity that greeted their decision to host the Mullingar International CSI2* Show at their Co Westmeath venue from Thursday, June 3rd to Monday, June 7th.

This will be the 14th edition of the international element of the show which was first started in 1995.

“There has been a tremendous reaction, a great wave of positive support, we have been bowled over by it. People are thrilled it is going ahead and delighted to have something to look forward to. The show has grown enormously over the years and it plays a major role in the continued success of our riders and horses at home and on the world stage.

“With our substantial prize fund and wide range of competition, we cater for the needs of every category of rider. We feel our two-star international gives riders and horses international show exposure here at home.

“They get the chance to compete for world ranking points at home. It also educates judges, course designers and officials and opens the door for them to get invites to officiate at overseas shows,” said Robert Fagan.

“We are 100% committed to making this year’s Mullingar International Show a great show for all. We are not dropping the standard or the prize money either. We will have €90,000 in prize money and €25,000 for the Grand Prix. We have extended the show by an extra day and our loyal sponsors, and new sponsors, as well as individuals, can - and are - all getting involved.

“We propose creating a Puissance Wall with 250 bricks and for as little as €100, you as an individual who wants to show your support or your company can sponsor a brick or a row of bricks.

“All international classes will be live streamed across the globe. From ponies to the ISH Studbook classes and showjumping, we will be pulling out all the stops for 2021.

“We have got great feedback and are delighted that everyone is behind us, the reaction has been overwhelming,” said Robert.
