TONY Noble announced the death of Cobra 18 (Cornet Obolensky x Ramiro B) this evening (Friday) on social media.

He posted: "It is with heavy heart that we must announce that we lost Cobra 18 to colic this morning. He died in his own stable at Drumhowan Stud, after receiving the most excellent veterinary care. But unfortunately nothing could be done.

"We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Gladys, Eamon and Darren for the care and attention during the time he stood there and know they will feel his loss as much as we will. RIP big man."
