THE Kerry Bog Pony National Show is moving from the ‘The Kingdom’ to Mount Briscoe, Co Offaly, for the first time in its history.

The National Annual Kerry Bog Pony Show is being held in conjunction with the 2018 Mount Briscoe Rare & Traditional Breeds Show on Sunday, July 22nd at Mount Briscoe, Daingean, Co Offaly. Mary McGrath of the Kerry Bog Pony Society said they were “delighted’’ to be holding their 12th National Annual Show at Mount Briscoe and to be part of an exclusive annual celebration of Ireland’s native and traditional breeds.

An impressive array of 12 classes will be held including foals, youngstock, mares and geldings, and the ISA Kerry Bog Pony Mare Championship Qualifier - the final of which is held at Iverk Show.

Young handler, lead rein and first ridden classes are also available

Champion and reserve champion will go forward to the new Irish Native Horse and Pony Championship, which is open to Champion and Reserve Champion in RID, Connemara Pony and Kerry Bog Pony respectively. The winner will take home the Joe McGrath Memorial Cup.
