IRISH event rider Jonty Evans will ride in a dressage demonstration at Badminton International Horse Trials next month. Evans, who is recovering from a serious brain injury, will partner Cooley Rorkes Drift in Pammy Hutton’s demo on Friday, May 3rd.
“Ever since I was a little boy, I have been obsessed with Badminton so to be asked to come back now is absolutely great,” Evans said.
“I watched my heroes here, Ian Stark, Ginny Leng and lots more, so it has always been an exceptional event to be part of.”
Speaking of Cooley Rorkes Drift (aka Art), he added: “In his eyes, Art is just going to think everyone is there especially to watch him, he will love being back at Badminton so much.”
The combination were lying in fourth place at dressage at Badminton last year, before a fall on cross-country. They made their first public appearance together since the accident at Belton Horse Trials in March.
