IPC championships

JUST over 340 combinations are listed to compete in the Connolly’s Red Mills/Irish Pony Club national eventing championships which take place this weekend at Ballindenisk, Co Cork.

The Under 12s tackle all three phases today but most members will take on the cross-country phase tomorrow after which the Open riders will show jump in reverse order of merit.

Disappointingly, those members of Area 17 of The Pony Club (Northern Ireland) who had qualified for this weekend’s British Pony Club championships were informed on Monday that these had been cancelled to the ground conditions at Cholmondeley Castle.
