Charity draw
WICKLOW breeders Frank and Paula Cullen are hosting their annual draw for their Kenyan charity on Saturday, November 4th next.
The draw will support the great work of Sister Mary Killeen in the Mukuru slums of Nairobi and the MPC Rehabilitation Centre for homeless street boys, aged eight to 17.
Closer to home, the draw also supports Fr Willie Walshe’s efforts to improve facilities at St Patrick’s Secondary School in Kiltale, focusing on improving the library and science facilities for this growing school.
This year’s draw is restricted to a 200 club draw with tickets costing €50 each. The target is to raise €10,000 with €5,000 for each project.
Prizes include two Leinster Rugby season tickets, an original painting by Paul Abel, a handcrafted quilt cover by Annette Cullen, concert tickets by Aiken Promotions and paintings by the street boys themselves.
