IN response to press queries, Horse Sport Ireland said the ISH Studbook Stallion Book is a downloadable pdf on the following URL www.horsesportireland.ie/breeding/stallion-book/. “Regrettably, there is no hard copy version available anymore,” said Horse Sport Ireland.

MLHR before DAFM committee

MEMBERS of My Lovely Horse Rescue, Martina Kenny and Eoin Cullen, appeared before the Oireachtas Agriculture Committee where they gave a valuable insight into their rescue work and appealed for greater public funding going forward. Issues raised included equine welfare, identification, education and awareness. Many TDs and Senators spoke favourably of MLHR’s important work and pledged to advocate for greater public funding than their current €26,250 from the DAFM. Kenny and Cullen outlined their running costs last year were over €400,000, which did not include salaries.

Ingmar De Vos is set to be re-elected

FEI President Ingmar De Vos is set to be re-elected for a third and final four-year term after being confirmed as the sole candidate for the presidential election that will take place during the FEI General Assembly in Cape Town, South Africa on November 13th 2022. The 58-year-old Belgian native took up the post of FEI president in 2014 after receiving the majority in the first round of voting, earning 98 votes out of a possible 131, at the FEI General Assembly in Baku.

Four years later at the FEI General Assembly in Manama (BRN), Ingmar De Vos stood unopposed and received unanimous support for a second term.
