Equipeople supporting AIRC Eventing Championships

EQUIPEOPLE, the leading agricultural and equine work experience agency in Europe, has come on board as sponsors of the Association of Irish Riding Clubs National Eventing Championships which takes place at Annaharvey on Sunday, August 29th.

There will be competitions for all levels including a young horse division for four- and five-year-olds, a team championship and a combined training for Primary riders.

Equipeople is run by Caroline Lane and employs up to nine people on a full-time and part-time basis. They have a host base of about 400 families and welcome about 700 European students to Ireland each year. They also look after a number of study tours for American universities and European agricultural schools each year.

Caroline Lane, managing director of Equipeople said: “We are delighted to sponsor the AIRC Eventing Championships to be held at Annaharvey later this month. I groomed event horses both at home and internationally, my parents owned event horses, my mother was a scorer, my father an FEI Steward and one-day events were held at my home place in Kilcock, so eventing has long been part of our family.

“The Riding Club movement provides a vehicle for amateur horse owners to enjoy this wonderful sport and so we are particularly pleased to be able to support these championships. Added to this, our offices are only 20 minutes from Annaharvey so it is even more apt that we support this competition,” she added.

AIRC chairman, Tony Ennis, said: “It’s even more important now than ever to have sponsors willing to support our events and I’m delighted to announce that Equipeople will support our Eventing Championships on the 29th August.

“Equipeople were previous sponsors of our Dressage Championships some years ago and it’s great to see them as strong as ever,” he added.
