All-Ireland showing series to go ahead

A WARM welcome and relief greeted the announcement from the Irish Shows Association that the Horse Sport Ireland All-Ireland Showing Series will go ahead this year. Competitions will run on a direct entry basis, with numbers strictly limited to 15 per competition held behind closed doors.

The following competitions will run in Charleville on Saturday, August 7th:

• All-Ireland Two-Year Old Filly (Kildysart)

• All-Ireland Three-Year-Old Horse (Bannow & Rathangan)

• All-Ireland Yearling Colt or Gelding (Barryroe)

• All-Ireland Yearling Filly (Bridgetown)

• All-Ireland Colt Foal (Clarecastle)

• All-Ireland Two-Year-Old Irish Draught Filly (Limerick)

Entries will open on Wednesday, July 7th at 9am and will close on Friday, July 23rd at 5pm (or when maximum number of entries is reached).

The following competitions will run in Roscommon on Saturday, September 4th:

• All-Ireland Filly Foal (Moate)

• All Ireland Traditional Sporthorse Filly Foal (Mountbellew)

• All Ireland Traditional Sporthorse Colt Foal (Mountbellew)

• All-Ireland Irish Draught Yearling Filly (Roscommon)

• The Leitrim Irish Draught Breeders Challenge (Mohill)

• All-Ireland ID Colt Foal (Ballinasloe)
