In a change to the current schedule, it has been proposed that Coilóg EC should now run on Easter Monday, April 21st, as opposed to its original date of Sunday, April 20th.

“An opportunity presented itself as a compromise to the clash of the final of the Spring Tour and Millstreet. I hope that riders, despite having a full week of demanding competition, will still support their tour and their own initiative,” said Chris Byrne of Coilog.

Other changes include the cancellation of the round in Clare Equestrian on April 13th, which has been confirmed by Sheila White.

“It didn’t make sense to go up against Millstreet as they have an attractive package for riders. There is an incentive to jump on the Sunday of our show in Millstreet and to remain there for the remainder of the show,” she explained. “It wouldn’t make sense to run against it.”

Entries for the Millstreet Welcome Tour, which runs from April 10th to 20th, are understood to be strong ahead of the closing date of Monday, March 31st.

The show will include over 130 classes, including six international CSI* classes on the Easter weekend.

Mullingar EC has not indicated that it will make any change to its scheduled show on April 12th.

Meanwhile a spokesperson from Warrington has confirmed that its show, originally scheduled for April 19th, will now move to Sunday, April 20th.

A spokesman for SJI declined to comment on the proposed moves.
