THE company that organised the European Pony Championships this year at Malmo in Sweden, PM Event AB, is reported to have left huge debts to many service providers after the event. Course designers, commentators, veterinary surgeons, security companies, the Swedish Equestrian Federation and hotels, are just some of those who have yet to be paid.

PM Event was commissioned by the city of Malmö to run the event, with Ridsport reporting that the company, which is run by Pelle Magnusson, owes in excess of €3.7 million in unpaid debts.

PM Event says it has high hopes of being able to pay a large portion of the debts and the company also claim to have €3 million in assets.
