Proud of Little Indian Feather

Madam,

I read the article on Little Indian Feather with great interest in last week’s Irish Field. I would just like to add that when I was District Commissioner of the West Waterford Pony Club, we were extremely proud to have this mare on our winning Junior Irish Pony Club Eventing Championship team in 2011, when expertly ridden by Sarah Connell from Tallow, Co Waterford.

The following year her sister Kirsty competed with her at the European pony eventing Championships in Fontainebleu in France before being sold on as outgrown.

What a super mare she has been for all her owners!

Yours etc,

Food for thought?

Madam,

AS the Clifton Pony Show approaches, the question on many exhibitors’ minds is the pairing of the judges to their respective rings, which is to be announced on the morning of the show.

Perhaps the Society should follow the example set by the RDS when making an open draw for the Aga Khan Trophy during the week by doing the same at the international reception in the Abbey Glen Castle on Tuesday evening?
