MADELAINE Gervais and the Irish Sport Horse MS Clinton finished fourth in the 1.25m Europa Cup final in Vinovo Torino, picking up four faults in 64.31 seconds.

ISH fourth in Saugerties million

IRELAND’S Paul O’Shea and Skara Glen’s Machu Picchu won $25,000 for an eighth-place finish in the five-star Saugerties $1 Million Grand Prix in New York. Germany’s Andre Thieme and Conthendrix claimed the top spot to collect $330,000. The Irish Sport Horse Luibanta BH, ridden by Britain’s Amanda Derbyshire, fiancé of Co Clare show jumper David Blake, slotted into fourth. The nine-year-old mare by Luidam was bred by Justin Burke at Galway Bay Stud and is currently owned by Derbyshire’s employers, Gochman Sport Horse LLC.

O’ Connor sixth

EVENTER Austin O’Connor finished sixth in the CIC2* section B at Gatcombe last weekend aboard Sankro, with a final score of 43.3. O’ Connor also took fifth in the novice section with Falvaro. In the CIC Section A, Jonty Evans and John the Bull finished in sixth place on 51.8. Taking the honours was Paul Tapner with Bob Chaplin (45.8).

New mount for

Cian O’Connor

CIAN O’Connor has added the nine-year-old Donjo to his string of horses. The KWPN gelding is by Zirocco Blue VDL finished sixth in the Grand Prix of Dublin last month with Germany’s Tobias Meyer. O’Connor made his debut with him at the five-star Stephex Masters show in Brussels two weeks ago.
