TRI sponsorship

FOR the second year, TRI Equestrian is to sponsor the hugely popular grass roots EI 100 class at the Eventing Ireland National Championships taking place at Tattersalls from August 12th-14th.

TRI Equestrian will be providing vouchers totalling €2,000 which will be split between the top six riders in the EI 100 class.

This is in addition to the prize money where the EI 100 National Champion can look forward to receiving €750 in TRI vouchers plus a cheque for €200.

Entries can be made from qualified riders online via the Eventing Ireland website and close on August 4th next.

Charlotte Donovan from TRI Equestrian said: “TRI Equestrian are delighted to be Sponsors for the second year of the EI 100 National Championships.

It is a fantastic opportunity for us to show our support to the Eventing Community and participate in what we believe will be a hugely successful event.”

National championships committee chairman, Paul Coady, said: “We have seen some of our top combinations move through the ranks and to have TRI support our best EI 100 combinations is a great incentive to compete.“

FEI appeal rejected

AFTER the successful launch of the new Global Champions League, the Brussels Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the Belgian Competition Authority (BCA) allowing riders and horses to participate in the GCL series without incurring a suspension by the FEI. This is the third ruling in favour of the new GCL team competition.

Following the judgment, riders and horses participating in the GCL continue to be protected by the interim measures granted by the BCA. Meanwhile, GCL will continue to pursue its underlying complaint against the FEI with the BCA.

In addition, the FEI also vowed to continue their legal battle against GCL.
