Moloney runner-up
KILKENNY’s Richie Moloney and Alsvid scored a runner-up finish in last night’s $35,000 opening CSI**** class at Palm Beach International Equestrian Centre in Florida, USA.
Jessica Springsteen (USA) and Davendy S took the winner’s prize with a time of 58.95 seconds, one tenth of a second ahead of Moloney. Another Irish rider, Capt Brian Cournane, finished in 10th place with Elwood.
Lynch third in Paris
TIPPERARY’s Denis Lynch got off to an excellent start in the opening five-star class at the Longines Masters of Paris, finishing third with Ho Go van de Padenborre (Darco x Chin Chin). Lynch guided the 11-year-old stallion to one of just three clear rounds behind French winner Julien Epaillard with Quatrin de la Roque LM, while Simon Delestre finished second with Sultan du Chateau. Mayo’s Cameron Hanley came home in seventh place with Cas 2 (Indoctro x Numero Uno).
