A GROUP of leading Irish equine companies supported by Enterprise Ireland will attend the China Horse Fair in Beijing from October 14th-16th, following the success of last year’s event.

Over 2,300 trade buyers from China’s top breeding, horse sports and leisure facilities attended the fair in 2014 and Irish companies are keen to establish a strong presence in the market. The horse industry contributes in excess of €1.1 billion annually to the Irish economy and China is viewed as having major market potential with significant purchasing power.

Home to 124,000 Irish sport horses, Ireland offers a wealth of equestrian experience to the Asian world.

This expertise has been harnessed by Irish equine companies to supply the whole spectrum - from nutrition, biotech and engineering to equipment, clothing and medicines.

Trade buyers from across China will have access to the comprehensive product range and services on offer from Irish suppliers, catering for the needs of horse owners, trainers, breeders and service providers.
