LARGE crowds are expected to descend on Camphire International today (Saturday) for the key cross-country phase over a track designed by Mike Etherinton-Smith at the picturesque Cappoquin estate.

Ten nations are represented in the 300 entries.

Yesterday afternoon, the leader in the Castleacres Insurance Brokers CCI** was Sweden’s Sofia Sjoborg with DHI Mighty Dwight on 37.5 penalties from Britain’s Samuel Ecroyd on Tullaher Sunrise (47.6), while Sam Watson was best of the Irish with Smart Spirit (50).

Leading the Auto Boland CCI* was Australia’s Kevin McNab with Brookfield Quality on 38.6 penalties.
