AS announced in these pages last week, Gransha EC in Bangor will be staging its biggest show to date over the Easter weekend (March 25th to 27th) when Pegus Horse Feeds will be title sponsor. Entries are now open online (www.granshaequestrian.co.uk) for this Equine Gala which will have sections in show jumping, dressage, showing and working hunter for both horses and ponies and all events can take place indoors should the weather prove inclement.
The Gransha winter finals of the dressage, working hunter and show jumping leagues will be included in the timetable on Friday and Saturday while, on the second evening, the 5-Bar and Puissance competitions should prove to be exciting spectator events.
The Pegus working hunter and ridden championship classes, a vintage side-saddle display, a polocrosse demonstration and dressage to music will take place on the Sunday.
As the day progresses, judges will award individual championships in each ridden section with the supreme championship of the show taking place early that evening.
There will be stabling and hook-up available for the weekend and the Stuarts are arranging a barbeque on the Friday night with music by local band Whatever Next. Lorries and horses have to be booked in by Monday week, February 29th.
