THE autumn show jumping league at Warrington Top Flight Equestrian came to an exciting conclusion last Saturday with riders in every category putting in strong performances in a bid to take one of the titles.

League winners in the 60cms newcomers division were Ana Ryan (Docs Ozzimus), Aoibhinn Ruane (Flossy Boots) and Cormac Browne (George). Ryan (Docs Ozzimus) picked up another title when claiming the 70cms division.

In the 128 70cms section, victory belonged to Roisin Burns and Misty when they lodged the winning time of 28.08 seconds. Burns was chased home by resident rider Emily Moloney aboard Castletown Cyril in 29.17. Abbie Oakey partnered Cratloe Tommy to third when crossing the line in 29.55. Verona Fitzgerald Madigan’s fourth place finish with Westfield Diggory Delvet (32.57) and fifth with Brenor Blossom in 32.73 saw her take the league with the latter.

The win in the 80cms went to Chloe Hughes-Kennedy and Jingle Belle Rock when clear in 23.55. The winner was almost four seconds ahead of her closest rival Tara Fogarty and Battlestown Twister in 27.81. Eoin Brennan and Coppenagh Spirit slotted into third when stopping the clocking in 27. 86. League winner in this section was Camille Ryan and Midnight Whisper who had accumulated 27 points ahead of the final.

Alexandra Hourigan and Ipley Shiraz Took the honours in the 90cms final when they lodged the winning round of clear in 31.16. Taking the runner-up position was Marta Hughes-Bravo and Cocky Rocky in 32.83, ahead of Timmy Brennan and Absolutely Beautiful in 34.1. League winner was Allegra Hancock and Dun For Now, who also was the winner of the one metre division

Timmy Brennan returned to take victory in the one metre section with Absolutely Beautiful when clear in 34.70. seconds. Little separated the placings as Daragh Burns lodged a clear with Monserrat Seamist in 34.95, ahead of Allegra Hancock and Dun For Now in 48.70.

Tara Fogarty and Jolly Top led the victory lap in the 138 80cms when clear in 35. 91, ahead of Ciana Cushion and George in 37.82. League winner was Claire Forde and Arthur. Fogarty returned to take the the 90cms in an unbeatable 35.60. David Fleming and Clear Over clear in 41. 82 was enough to secure him second place and the title.

GOOD DAY

Robin Carey and Woodside Golden Sol led the victory lap in the one metre class, clear in 29.07.

Second place belonged to Gillian Costello and Ruthstown Trooper, who was fractions behind in 31.04, while Seamus Hughes-Kennedy and Lisboy Latte slotted into third in 33.45. It was a good day for the Hughes-Bravo family as Molly Hughes-Bravo and HHS Lady took fourth in 33. 66. A fifth place finish for David Fleming and Clear Over in 38.13 saw him claim another league title.

There was no stopping Carey and Woodside Golden Sol as they lodged the only double clear to take the honours in the 1.10m when clocking 28.74 seconds. Four faults in 32.66 may have meant a second place finish for Conor Fitzpatrick and Ballinvella Polly but it proved good enough to take the league.

In the 148cms division, Jessica Sharpe’s double clear with Sweet Cherry in 44. 50 saw her take the win in the 80cms but it was Aisling O’Neill and Bisto’s good performance over the course of the league that saw her take home the overall title.

Aoife Crowdle’s clear in 31.99 with Skylark Oreo saw her win the 90cms while Miriam Brett and Ollie’s time of 34.63 was enough to secure the runner-up spot and the league. Opting for the safer approach paid dividends for James McOwan and Whos Ruby who clocked 45.66 for third place.

Crowdle and Skylark Oreo clocked up another win in the one metre section with 32. 52. Clodagh Burke and Paris Texas’s clear in 34.35 saw her take second and also the league.

Just three double clears were delivered in the 1.10m and fastest of them was Molly Hughes-Bravo and Graiguecullen Ben’s Boy in 41.48. The runner-up spot belonged to Seamus Hughes-Kennedy and Keatingstown Hunky Dory (46.44), ahead of David Browne and Worth The Wait in 46. 64. League winner in this section was Jennifer Young and Myshall Tom.

Kayleigh Soden dominated the 1.20m division, taking the win with Boolagh Gypsy Boy in 39.38 and second with Springhill Boomerang in 48.77 and also the league.

HORSES

Rachel Doyle’s double clear with Glen in 44.14 saw her enjoy victory in the 80cms ahead of Aisling Doyle and Paddy in 46. 58. League winner was Eimear Doyle and Olivia.

Winner of the 90cms final and the league was Maria Vozone and Foulksrath Dandy Man, clear in 37.12 seconds, ahead of Anne Phelan and Meadow Flight in 38.17. Shane McDonald’s careful approach with Hue Flight paid off when crossing the line with nothing to add in 41.44.

Patrick Drennan and Ruby De Reve took the honours in the one metre final when clear in 38.80, while Joe Lennon second place finish with Missy in 41.06 saw him take the title. League winner in the 1.10m was Sasha Reardon and Zenas Diamond.

Without a doubt, it has been a great year and Anna Carway and she topped it off when taking the win on home soil in the 1.20m with Claricella, clear in 49. 66.

Moloney family riders accounted for the next two placings as Ellie and Flamenco Flight slotted into second when clocking 51.58, ahead of Eddie and MHS Central Park in 63.70. Four faults for Nicola Ring and Errigal’s Rock in 53.84 was enough to claim fourth and the league.

Carway’s impressive clear round with Winner in 36.90 saw her take the honours, ahead of league winners Ellie Moloney and Lord Hugo Warande Zin 42.57. Carway also claim third place with Claricella when clocking 43.07.
