THE €3,150 Irish Sporthorse Studbook five-year-old grand final saw nine of the starting 23 supply fault-free rounds in challenging weather conditions. One of only two classes that ran on Sunday at the Meadows EC, the nine decided to divide when weather and ground conditions continued to deteriorate.

The nine were Declan McEvoy with More In Hope; Peter Smyth (Templepatrick Welcome Limmerick), Catherine Thornton (Currabawn Crazy Daisy), James Hogg (European Cruise), Cormac Rafferty (KMR Twilight), Lucy Buchanan (LCC Katenko), Damien Griffin (Lissyegan Geoffrey), Clem McMahon (Hilton Hashtag) and Mervyn Clarke with Thomascourt Senna.

MHS Attraction was declared as the league winner. Bred by Michael Brennan, the mare is by Numero Uno out of the Diamant de Semilly-sired dam French Ballerina.

Campaigned throughout the season by David Moran of Castlefield Sporthorses, MHS Attraction was purchased by Bourns Sporthorses prior to the Dublin Horse Show and will travel to Lanaken with new rider Jenny Rankin.

The Meadows EC was the first show for the new partnership and the mare will be aimed firstly at the upcoming Irish Breeders Classic.
