SKY Sports TV presenter Rachel Wyse and former international show jumper and multi-millionaire developer Tim Gredley announced their engagement on Monday.
Wyse, a keen show jumper who competed at an underage European Championships for Ireland, began dating the British show jumper and racehorse owner 18 months ago. The pair first meet in show jumping circles at Cavan Equestrian Centre 13 years ago, before meeting again almost two years ago and hitting things off.
The Dublin woman began her presenting career at Dublin City Channel and formally presenting the Premier Show Jumping Series. Now based in London, Wyse took a job with Sky Sports seven years ago and spends four months on the road presenting the GAA coverge in Ireland.
Gredley has represented Britain on numerous Nations Cup teams and was part of the squad at the 2006 World Equestrian Games. He retired from full time riding to concentrate on running his family property developing company, Unex Group.
He challenged himself by taking to the point-to-point field last year and steered the former Nicky Henderson-trained gelding Bivouac to victory in the Newmarket Town Plate in July.
Gredley is one of the richest young men in Britain, with a fortune close to £200 million, and his father Bill owns the Ascot Gold Cup-winning horse Big Orange. He ranked a cool fourth in the 2016 Sunday Times Rich List for young sportsmen.
