THE Irish Sport Horse Super Chilled scored a great win at the three-star Live Oak International in Ocala, Florida. Bred by Cheryl Broderick in Co Tipperary, the 12-year-old gelding by Gelvin Glover is out of Ballypatrick Codex.

He won the six-year-old championship at the Dublin Horse Show in 2014 under Greg Broderick, before being sold to Irish Olympian Kevin Babington, who guided him to multiple international victories in the USA.

Following Kevin’s accident last August, he has since handed the ride to fellow Irishman Jonathan Corrigan and they scored their first victory together last week in the $10,000 Waldron Private Wealth 1.40 Power and Speed (Table A).

“The course walked very well and there were options that were inviting to make some inside turns but you had to stay on your toes,” said Jonathan. “This is a new horse to me and I’m grateful for Kevin Babington for trusting me with the ride.”
