THERE was victory for Co Down’s Dermott Lennon in the 1.50m at Samorin in Slovakia CSI4* last week. Riding the Irish Sport Horse Loughview Lou-Lou, he posted the winning round in 64.20 seconds. Along with collecting over €8,000 for the win, Lennon had also done enough to book his place in Sunday’s Grand Prix.

Also in action, Joanne Sloane Allen featured in the 1.25m when finishing sixth. Riding Wicked Hope, she delivered a clear in 71.48.

Lennon added to his haul when he took the runner-up place in the 1.40m later in the week.

Riding Vampire, he was one of nine clears – his time 38.94.

Italian Natale Chiaudani and Once de Kreisker won, clear in 37.85. In third was Roland Englbrecht, riding Mevisto’s Poorboy, clear in 40.02.

On Sunday, Lennon picked up another prize when he slotted into second in the 1.45m when he went clear with Vampire in 39.14.
