Double for Kerins

SLIGO’s Darragh Kerins and Ringwood Zebo (ISH) claimed victory in a 1.35m last weekend at the two-star show in Tryon, North Carolina. Not content with the win, he also took fourth with Cif Alia.

Kerins and Ringwood Zebo, who was formally ridden by Andrew Bourns, also took the runner-up spot in the 1.35m the following day, when pipped at the post by USA’s Todd Minikus.

On Friday, Kerins took the win in the 1.40m speed stakes when recording the winning round with Silteplait De Circee, clear in 67.16. Galway’s David O’ Brien and Kir Royal SCF finished eight, ahead of Richie Moloney and Alsvid in ninth.

Tabitha Kyle on form in Bicton

TABITHA Kyle was on form in Bicton, Britain. Tabitha, who is the daughter of eventer Mark Kyle, topped the Stable Company HOYS 138cm aboard the Irish-bred 15-year-old Lissduff Royal. This was one of three wins this pair clocked up at this meeting, including a Graham Heath Equestrian 128/138cm handicap and the 138cm pony gold league competition. Tabitha also claimed wins in a 1.05m, 1.10m and the 148cm restricted 1.20m on the 12-year-old Orchids Vienna.

She then went on to claim four of the top five places in the Graham Heath 128/138cm and headed the 128cm pony gold league.

Allen win

HARRY Allen won a 1.35m junior class in Kronenberg, The Netherlands, last week. Riding Christy Jnr, Harry was the quickest four double clear rounds to take victory. A number of other top-10 placings ended with ninth (EH Quick Nina) and 10th (Christy Jnr) in Sunday’s Junior Grand Prix.

Drain one-two

CONOR Drain was in the ribbons last weekend, when he claimed victory and the runner-up place in Lattrop Grand Prix. His winning ride was aboard Condavel and he was second with Con Capitano.
