CLARE show jumper Tom Foley dominated in the three major classes at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, USA, crowning the weekend with victory in the $40,000 NWSS Grand Prix with the Windwood Group’s Damokles.

The 23-year-old began by winning the $5,000 Top of the Rockies Jumper Stake aboard the speedy black stallion, before going on to land another win in the $15,000 Gamblers Choice Jumper Stakes.

In front of a full house at the popular show, Foley ended the night’s competition, in which every jump had a different point value, with an impressive score of 1,200 points. The win means the pair have qualified for the $100,000 ‘InIt2WinIt’ Speed Jumping Series final in Omaha in April.

He also slotted into fourth in that class with Eye Candt Jumpers’ Chaccantus.

The unstoppable combination finished the week off in style when galloping to victory in the $40,000 NWSS Grand Prix. Last to go in the jump-off, a daring gallop to the final fence saw him break the beam in 35.40 seconds and win the class by over a second from USA’s Nicki Wilcox and Daniwuq Du Lys in the runner-up position.
