CONTINUING his good show of form, Conor Swail was back in the ribbons at Saugerties last week when he took the runner-up place in the $213,300 FEI HITS Grand Prix - CSI4*.

Swail, who was riding Vital Chance da Roque, picked up $42,660 for his efforts.

The Co Down native was beaten to the post by Rowan Willis and Blue Movie. Also in the line-up was Derry’s Jordan Coyle who took third with Centriko Volo.

Coyle’s week also included victory in the $10,000 Saugerties Steamboat Co. 1.35m aboard Warnike.

On Friday, Nicky Galligan and Javan Miss Jordan were pipped at the post in the $36,600 Saugerties Classic - CSI4*, when they slotted into second place.

Leading the victory lap on this occasion was Kristen Vanderveen with Bull Run’s Prince of Peace. In seventh place was Jonathan Corrigan and Lughnavatta Indigo, ahead of Jordan Coyle and Boston Ask.
