A MEDLEY of Irish riders competed at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva Valencia, Spain, and consistently appeared in the top 10 results across the various clases.

There were wins for Ireland’s Kevin Thornton, Michael Duffy and Gavin Harley as well as top five finishes for Damien Dixon, Anthony Condon and Kenneth Graham.

On Tuesday, equal first in the five-year-old class was divided among others between Declan McParland (Alvin Du Reverdy and Amy De Beaufour), Roger McCrea (Davinci VD Bosrand); Shane O’Reilly (Fashion Es Flowergravlin); Kevin Thornton (Carla Du Roset CH) while Gavin Harley (Dascino Van De Kapel) and Jack Dodd (Casanova De Beaufour) were among the equal firsts in the six-year-old class.

Harley (Cap Diamond D’Of Ten Bos) again featured in the division of the seven-year-old class as did McParland (Ula De Beaufour) and Jack Dodd (Ushuaia Semilly) along with Dave Quigley (Ikketiska van de Noordheuvel and Eis Isaura).

On Sunday, Roger McCrea (Tulipe De Baudiere) was 10th in the 1.30 Silver Table C while Damien Dixon was third in the 1.35 Silver timed class with Sirius Du Charmeux.

Kevin Thornton enjoyed a win in the 1.30 Gold timed class with Landado CH while Dixon enjoyed another top 10 finish in the 1.40m Gold two-phase class with Galactico Z.

On Saturday, Shane O’Reilly was 10th with Utopia Du Bary in the 1.20m Silver two-phase class.

Michael Duffy enjoyed a win in the 1.30m Silver timed class with Quidams Boy while Gavin Harley was fourth in the 1.40m Silver timed class with Claraddo.

Anthony Condon was fifth with Robine De Baussy in a 1.30m Gold two-phase class while Dixon was sixth in a 1.40m Gold jump-off class with Fidelio Du Roset.

Thornton was second in a 1.30m Gold timed class with Landado CH while Condon was sixth in a 1.35m Gold two-phase class with Ashdale Luison.

Michael Duffy was seventh in a 1.45m Gold timed class with Lennox 324.

On Thursday, Gavin Harley won the six-year-olds 1.30m class with Dasino Van De Kapel and took the third slot with Vendetta Treize while Anthony Condon was second on Zira II. Damien Dixon took ninth and 10th place on Darius Des Vignes Du Theil and Cyrus Du Roset CH.

Kenneth Graham was runner-up in the seven-year-old jump-off with Lenamore Lucy Lou. in which Mark McAuley was 10th on Calgary du Siegneur followed by Dave Quigley in 11th on Datero H.

Kenneth Graham was second in a 1.40m Gold timed class on Lyrical while Anthony Condon was sixth on Balzac and Roger McCrea was ninth on Witro.
