Lennon close

CO Down’s Dermott Lennon came agonisingly close to winning last Thursday’s 1.45m speed class at the five-star show in Leipzig, Germany.

Aboard Rebecca McGoldrick’s Fleur IV, Lennon completed the track with an excellent clear round in 57.83 seconds, only to be better by Germany’s Tobia Meyer and Edesa’s Chillando Blue (0/ 57.40).

France’s Kevin Staut topped the class in 61.25 with Vendome d’Anchat.
